We started in 2003 building websites, SEO tools, and web activity tracking. Over time, our platform evolved — and in 2011, a customer told us we were "like a Marketo." We hadn't set out to build a marketing automation platform, but that's exactly what we had built. By 2014, we were a full-fledged MAP serving hundreds of customers and tens of thousands of users worldwide.
By 2020, we were facing the same challenges that have since become familiar across the MAP industry: accumulated technical debt, architectural constraints that limited innovation, and a platform that had grown harder to evolve. Rather than patch an aging foundation, our CEO made the decision to rebuild — entirely from scratch, with two decades of real-world experience informing every choice. That rebuild is Paminga.
