Send-It! Automations: The Quickest Way to Get an Email Out the Door

A Send-It! Automation is exactly what it sounds like — a single email to the members of one or more Lists, scheduled in seconds, no Workflow required.

Not every send needs a nurture. Not every send needs branching. Some sends are just "ship this to these people on Tuesday at 9 AM."

How to Launch a Send-It!

Two paths to the same place:

  1. From inside the Email Builder — click the Send It! button in the top right of the email you're working on
  2. From the Emails DataGrid — pick an existing email and use the Actions column

Either way, you land on the same setup form.

The Setup

Quick fields. Most you fill once and forget:

  • Automation Name — what your team calls it
  • Description — optional context for the rest of the team
  • Launch Date/Time — when it goes out
  • Automation Folder — where it lives in the Finder
  • Reporting Tags — for slicing the dashboards later
  • UTM Tags — auto-filled, edit if needed
  • Recipient Lists — pick any number of Marketing Lists or Subscription Lists
  • Include Individual Email Addresses — for one-offs
  • Exclude Lists / Individuals — for surgical suppression
  • Send as Transactional Email — for the rare case you need to bypass marketing opt-outs (don't use this for marketing email)

Click Send It! and you're done.

What Send-It Is Good For

Things a Drip Series or Workflow is overkill for:

  • The CEO's quarterly update
  • An event announcement
  • A flash sale or limited-time promo
  • A "please update your account" maintenance ping
  • Pretty much anything that's "this email, these people, this date"

❌ Don't build a one-step Workflow for a single send.
✅ Do reach for Send-It! the moment you don't need branching, sequencing, or goals.

Recent Enhancement

We also added the Send-It! button directly inside the new Email Builder — so you can compose, click, schedule, ship, without ever leaving the canvas. A small change that knocks one step out of every quick send.

Get Started

  1. Open the email you want to send
  2. Click Send It! in the top right
  3. Pick your Lists, set the launch time, and send

Stats land in the standard Automation Dashboard alongside everything else you've sent.
