Paminga's Twilio integration brings SMS into your marketing automation — drag a Send SMS action into a Nurture Campaign or Drip Series, point it at a message, and it goes out the same way every other automation step does.

SMS is the highest-engagement channel most B2B teams ignore because their MAP doesn't support it. Paminga's Twilio integration closes that gap. SMS becomes another Action you trigger from anywhere Actions run.

Prerequisites

Two things outside Paminga:

  • A Twilio accountsign up here
  • At least one Twilio phone number on that account

That's the setup on Twilio's side.

Three Credentials, Then You're Connected

To connect Twilio and Paminga, save three credentials to the Twilio Credentials page in Paminga (under Integration Settings):

  • Account SID — from Twilio's API Credentials page
  • Auth Token — same page
  • Messaging Services SID — created in Twilio's SMS Services area, with at least one phone number attached

The Twilio docs walk through this in detail, and so do ours.

Create a Message, Send It From a Campaign

After the integration is authenticated:

  1. Go to Marketing Center → SMS Messages
  2. Click Create New, name the message (internal use only), and enter the text
  3. Save

To actually send it, drop a Send SMS action into a Nurture Campaign or Drip Series, point at the SMS message you created, and let the automation handle the rest.

A Few Limitations Worth Knowing

  • Text only. No images, no HTML. Links work — paste the full URL, the recipient's phone makes it clickable.
  • Billed by segment (Twilio's term), not by message. A long message split across three segments bills three times. Character count matters.
  • Phone number capacity. Each phone number has a 1-message-per-second send rate. Add more numbers to scale throughput.
  • Auto Recharge is strongly recommended in Twilio. If your account balance runs out mid-campaign, sends stop and you can't tell which contacts received the message.

Why This Matters

SMS open rates dwarf email open rates. The right SMS at the right moment can do work email can't:

  • Webinar reminder 30 minutes before the event
  • High-priority "your demo is in 5 minutes" ping
  • Time-sensitive promotion with a clear hard deadline
  • Mission-critical transactional updates (with appropriate flagging)

❌ Don't paste contact phone numbers into a separate SMS tool every time you want to send.
✅ Do treat SMS like email — an action your automation can take when the moment calls for it.

Get Started

  1. Sign up for Twilio and grab a phone number
  2. Save your Account SID, Auth Token, and Messaging Services SID into the Twilio Credentials page in Paminga
  3. Create your first SMS Message under Marketing Center → SMS Messages
  4. Drop a Send SMS action into a Nurture Campaign or Drip Series

Read the Twilio integration docs for the full setup walkthrough.
