Reset Account Scores

The Reset Account Scores Action resets the Account Score of the account of each contact the Action runs for. Put it where a buying cycle ends: an opportunity closes in your CRM, or a customer submits a renewal form. The engagement that got the account here stops counting, and the score builds up again from new activity.

Settings

• Account Scoring Rulesets. The rulesets whose scores are reset. Choose at least one.
• Engagement and Manual. The account scores to reset. Choose at least one. Fit is never reset, because it's recomputed every night from the account's data and your fit rules.
• Also reset contacts' Lead Scores. Optionally reset the lead scores of the account's contacts too:
  • Don't reset contacts. The default.
  • All contacts in the account.
  • Buying Group members with these roles. Pick one or more Buying Group roles, or leave the roles empty to reset every Buying Group member.
• Contact Lead Scores. When you reset contacts, choose the lead score categories to reset. Activity and Engagement are selected by default. Lead scores are reset under the Lead Scoring Ruleset that feeds each Account Scoring Ruleset.

Once Every 24 Hours

The Action resets each account at most once every 24 hours under a ruleset, however many of its contacts trigger it. When 40 contacts from one account come through a CRM sync together, the account is reset once, not 40 times.

What Happens When It Runs

• The account's chosen scores are reset, and a Reset row is added to its score history.
• Thresholds don't fire because of the reset, and the account can qualify again right away, even inside a cooldown.
• The account's Activity Stream records the reset. Each contact whose lead score is reset gets their own Activity Stream entry.
• Contacts with no account are skipped.

Where It's Available

Reset Account Scores works wherever Actions run, including Action Sets, forms, CRM sync actions, and workflows. It isn't offered for CSV imports or Apollo imports.
