Accounts
An Account represents an organization, commonly a company.
Every lead and contact in Paminga is tied to an Account.
An Account name is set by the value placed in the Company field. If a Contact is not assigned a Company name, a default value of “-” will be applied.
If a Contact is assigned a company name that does not match an existing account in Paminga, a new account will be created.
ICPs
An Account holds one Ideal Customer Profile per Brand: an ICP for All Brands, plus one for each Brand you've created. The same company can be a different ICP for each brand it buys from, and Paminga keeps those verdicts apart rather than forcing one answer.
The ICPs section on the Account's details page lists each of those rows. Add an ICP to a row yourself, remove one, or let the Paminga IQ: ICP Classification Agent decide — it crawls the Account's website and records the Account's ICP for the Brand you choose. A row that reads No ICP matched means the agent looked at the Account and concluded that none of your ICPs fit. That is a real answer, not a gap.
ICP is not an Account field, so it has its own condition in the Segment Builder — see Segmenting on ICPs.
Important Notes
- Accounts in Paminga represent groups of contacts, typically companies
- Contacts are assigned to accounts based on the value in the “Company Field”
- All Contacts are part of an account
- “-” is a valid Account name. It can be used to satisfy the “must be part of an Account” requirement if the account name is unimportant
- You may create an unlimited number of Account Custom Fields if you like, just as you can do with Contacts
- You may Segment on the values of any Account field (standard or custom) just as you can with Contact fields
- When uploading a CSV file, if for any contact, you set the value of Account/Company to “-“, the contact will be set with this value for the account
