Tags

Tags are labels you put on your marketing assets so you can find them, filter on them, and segment on them as a group. "Webinar", "Q4 Launch", "Partner Program": whatever vocabulary your team already uses when it talks about its work.

Tags are shared across your account and live in one vocabulary. An asset never carries its own private copy of a tag, so when you rename or merge a tag here, every asset that carries it changes at once.

What You Can Tag

  • Forms, Landing Pages, Emails, and CTAs
  • Branching Workflows, Drip Series, Sequences, and Send It automations
  • Action Sets

Adding Tags to an Asset

You'll find a Tags field in two places for each asset type:

Tags When You Create a Form:

In the builders, tags save the moment you change them. They are independent of the builder's own save and autosave, so tagging a form never touches a draft you have not published.

The field works the same way everywhere:

  • Start typing and pick a tag from the list, or keep typing and press Enter (or a comma) to add a tag that does not exist yet. New tags join the account vocabulary immediately.
  • The list stays open after each pick, because you usually add several tags at once.
  • Tag names are matched without regard to case. Typing "webinar" on an asset when "Webinar" already exists gives the asset the existing tag rather than creating a near-duplicate.

Finding Tagged Assets

The Forms, Landing Pages, CTAs, Emails, Sequences, and Action Sets grids each have a Tags column. Filter it the way you filter any other column: is, is not, is in, or is not in one or more tags. Because the filter runs on the server, it works across every page of the grid, not only the rows on screen.

Segmenting on Tags

Tags are also a segment condition. "Did submit any Paminga Form tagged Webinar" matches every form that carries the tag today and every form you tag Webinar tomorrow, without touching the segment. See Segmenting on Tags.

Managing Your Tags

Account Settings > Tags lists every tag in your account. Each row shows:

  • Name
  • Usage: how many places the tag is used. Hover the number for the breakdown by asset type, plus any segment conditions that match on the tag.
  • Where Used: opens the full tree of assets and segments that use the tag, grouped by type, with a link to each one.
  • Created and Updated, with the user who did each.

A search box above the grid filters the list as you type.

Add a Tag

Click "Add Tag", enter a name, and save. You'll rarely need this, since typing a new name on any asset creates the tag for you, but it is the way to seed a vocabulary before your team starts tagging.

Tag names are unique within your account, ignoring case. If the name you enter already exists, Paminga tells you so rather than creating a second copy.

Rename a Tag

Open a tag's actions and choose Edit. The new name applies everywhere the tag is used, on every asset and in every segment condition.

Renaming to a name that already belongs to another tag is refused. If you have two tags that mean the same thing, merge them instead.

Merge Tags

Select two or more tags with the checkboxes and click "Merge Selected". Choose the tag that survives. Every asset carrying one of the others is re-tagged with the survivor, an asset that already carried both keeps one copy, and the other tags are removed from the vocabulary.

This is how you clean up drift: "Webinars", "webinar", and "Webinar 2025" become one tag, and every segment that matched on the survivor now matches all of those assets.

A tag that a segment condition matches on can only be the survivor of a merge, never one of the tags folded away. Change those segments first if you need it gone.

Delete a Tag

Open a tag's actions and choose Delete. Before you confirm, Paminga shows the tag's blast radius:

  • Assets that carry the tag. Deleting the tag removes it from each of them. The assets themselves are untouched.
  • Segments that match on the tag. These block the delete. The dialog names each segment (and any Workflow, Alert, Report, or Scoring Ruleset that evaluates it), and the Delete button stays disabled until you have removed the tag from those conditions.

The block exists because a segment condition on a deleted tag would silently stop matching anything. Naming the segments up front means you fix them on purpose instead of discovering the gap in an audience count later.
