The Brand phase of Migration Center gives each workspace its look before anything is converted. Assets converted in the Assets phase inherit their workspace's Brand Kit, so getting this right first means your forms, landing pages, and emails arrive styled correctly instead of on Paminga's stock defaults.
Doing it now is also simply cheaper. Before conversion, no assets use any kit, so assigning or changing one has no side effects. After conversion, every change is a reassignment that touches the assets already using it.
This phase opens once Folders & Programs is complete, because Brand Kits attach to the workspaces that phase creates.
Nothing to Import
Marketo has no real equivalent of a Brand Kit. Its forms carry a handful of style settings and no colors, and its templates declare colors ad hoc, with no shared convention. So this phase doesn't import anything. You build kits here, and that is usually quicker than you'd expect.
Build Your Brand Kits
The Brand Kits card lists your account's kits. Add more in two ways:
- Discover from URL: paste your website's address, and Paminga screenshots a few key pages and derives a kit (typography, color palette, and more) from them
- Create a Brand Kit from Scratch: start from Paminga's defaults, then edit it
Open any kit to refine it in the Brand Kit editor, or make it your account's default kit.
Attach Kits to Workspaces
The Workspaces card lists each workspace with a Brand Kit picker. Choose a kit from the picker, or drag a kit from the left onto a workspace.
A workspace you leave alone uses your account's default Brand Kit. If you only have one brand, that's exactly what you want, and you can leave every workspace as it is.
These are the same workspace kit settings you'll find in the Finder, so anything you set here behaves exactly as if you'd set it there.
Confirm Brand
Brand has no migration run of its own, so you tell Migration Center when you're done: click Confirm Brand in the bottom bar. That completes the phase and opens Assets.
Confirming doesn't lock anything. You can change kits and assignments afterwards without confirming again.
