Cybersource by Visa

Cybersource, a Visa company, is a globally trusted payments platform. Connect it to Paminga and any of your forms can take a payment: your prospect submits the form and goes straight to Cybersource's hosted checkout, with the amount already filled in.

Card details are entered on Cybersource's page, not on your form, so they never pass through Paminga or your website. Paminga still captures everything else the form collects and runs your Automated Actions as usual.

Get Set Up

Cybersource is connected for you rather than from the Integrations page. Contact your Customer Success Manager at support@paminga.com to get started.

You'll need a Cybersource merchant account with a Secure Acceptance profile. Paminga uses that profile's credentials to sign each checkout request, which is what lets Cybersource trust the amount it receives from your form.

Once your account is connected, a new option appears in the Form Builder: CyberSource Secure Acceptance.

note

The Cybersource by Visa card under Settings > Account > Integrations is informational. It links back to this page rather than starting a connection.

Add a Payment to Your Form

Add an Amount Field

Cybersource needs to know how much to charge, and Paminga reads that from a Currency field on your form. Add one from the form fields before setting up the payment step.

Choose CyberSource Secure Acceptance

In the Form Builder, open the Actions tab. Under Prospect Experience, set the Action to CyberSource Secure Acceptance, then expand it to configure:

  • Amount Field — the Currency field whose value Cybersource should charge. This is required. If the list is empty, the form has no Currency field yet.
  • Merchant Defined Data — optional extra values to pass along with the payment. See Merchant Defined Data.

Publish your form, and the next submission goes to checkout.

Charge Only Some Submitters

The payment step is a Prospect Experience like any other, so it can be conditional. Click Add Conditional Experience to send only the submitters who meet your conditions to checkout, and show everyone else a thank-you message or redirect them. The first experience whose conditions match wins.

When Your Form Is Submitted covers conditional experiences in detail.

Merchant Defined Data

Cybersource lets you attach your own values to a payment, which then show up alongside the transaction in Cybersource. Use them for whatever your finance team needs to reconcile the payment: an invoice number, a membership type, the submitter's company.

Click Add a Mapping and pick a form field for each value you want to send. Paminga passes the submitted value of each field to Cybersource in the order you list them: the first mapping arrives as Merchant Defined Data 1, the second as 2, and so on. Remove a mapping and the ones below it move up a number, so update any Cybersource reports that depend on the numbering.

For a drop-down field, Paminga sends the selected option's value.

What Cybersource Receives

Each checkout is sent to Cybersource as a sale in US dollars, for the amount in your mapped Currency field. Paminga signs the request with your Secure Acceptance credentials so the amount can't be altered on its way to Cybersource.

Paminga sandbox accounts send checkouts to Cybersource's test environment, so you can try the full flow without charging a real card.
