Gmail Plugin
What is the Paminga Gmail Plugin?
The Paminga Gmail Plugin puts your Paminga emails inside Gmail. Pick one of your emails as a template, and the plugin drops it into your compose window with the content already personalized for the person you are writing to. Every link in it is rewritten to a tracked link, so when your prospect clicks, you know.
You still send the message with Gmail, from your own address, and replies come back to your inbox as they always do.
This one is built for sales teams sending follow-ups to prospects.
Installing the Paminga Gmail Plugin
Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store, then:
-
Open Gmail and start a new message. You will see a Paminga button next to Send.
-
Click it. A Paminga panel opens on the right side of your compose window.
-
Click Log In and sign in with your Paminga account. The plugin remembers you, so this is a one-time step.
The plugin only lists emails you have marked as Sales Enablement Templates. Before you use it, open an email in the email builder, go to Settings in the left panel, tick Use as a Sales Enablement Template, and save. Until you do, your template list is empty.
This applies to Emails in your Paminga account. It does not apply to Email Templates. An email with more than one variant cannot be used, so the checkbox is disabled there.
Using the Paminga Gmail Plugin
Compose your message as you normally would, then pull in a Paminga email and edit it however you like.
-
Add your recipient first. The plugin builds the tracked links around that address, so Select Template stays disabled until the To field has someone in it.
-
Click Paminga, then Select Template, then Select on the email you want. Paminga renders it, resolves any personalization tags against your recipient, rewrites every link for tracking, and drops the whole thing into your compose window along with the subject line.
-
Send it with Gmail's own Send button. There is no separate send step — the tracking is already baked into the message.
-
Tick Notify on Click in the Paminga panel and you get an email the moment your prospect clicks a link, telling you who clicked and which link they clicked. Your setting is remembered, so you only set it once.
-
A copy of the message stays in your Sent folder. If you open that copy and click a link in it, that click is recorded and you get a notification about your own click. Keep it in mind when you send a test to yourself.
Tracked emails go to one recipient at a time. Each tracked link is built for a specific recipient, so no CC'ing or BCC'ing. Add more than one recipient and the links are left untracked and click notifications are turned off.
