WordPress
Paminga works with any WordPress site. Everything Paminga does on your website (visitor tracking, embedded forms and CTAs, form capture) runs on a few lines of JavaScript, and WordPress is happy to host them. You'll typically do three things:
- Add the tracking beacon to every page
- Embed Paminga forms where you want them
- Optionally, capture forms built with a WordPress form plugin
Before you start, make sure your site's domain is in a Domain Group. Embedded forms and form capture both depend on it.
Add the Tracking Beacon
The tracking beacon is what lets Paminga see who visits your site, which pages they view, and where they came from. It needs to load on every page.
Copy your beacon code from Settings > Account > Account Setup, under Track Your Website Visitors. Then add it to your site's footer so it loads everywhere at once. In WordPress that usually means either:
- Your theme's footer. Paste the code just before the closing
</body>tag in your theme's footer template. Use a child theme if you can, so a theme update doesn't overwrite it. - A header-and-footer plugin. Many WordPress plugins exist to add a snippet to every page without editing theme files. Paste the beacon into the footer (or "body end") slot.
Host the beacon on your own subdomain before you roll it out. A beacon served from your own domain isn't caught by the ad blockers that block most marketing automation beacons.
Embed Paminga Forms
Build your form in Paminga's Form Builder, then click Embed and copy the embed code. Embed Your Form On Your Website covers the dialog and its options.
In WordPress, paste the embed code into a Custom HTML block in the block editor, or into a Custom HTML widget for a sidebar or footer. Avoid the Paragraph or Code blocks: they display the code as text rather than running it.
Changes you publish in the Form Builder reach your WordPress page automatically. You don't need to touch WordPress again unless you want the form somewhere else.
Paminga CTAs embed the same way.
Capture WordPress Form Plugins
Already have forms built with a WordPress form plugin? You don't have to rebuild them. Paminga's Mapped Forms capture submissions from forms Paminga didn't build, as long as the tracking beacon is on the page.
Mapping works with standard HTML forms. Plugins that submit through their own custom JavaScript can't be captured. Gravity Forms has worked consistently for our customers.
The Paminga WordPress Plugin
The Get the Plugin link on the WordPress card under Settings > Account > Integrations leads to a plugin in the WordPress plugin directory that adds the tracking beacon and a forms widget. It was published under Paminga's earlier Net-Results name and hasn't been updated for recent WordPress releases.
You don't need it. Everything on this page works with a standard WordPress install and no Paminga plugin.
