Drip Series
Drip Series are a streamlined way to send a series of emails, text messages, or both.
Use a Drip Series when you don't need your automation to branch based on how contacts engage with the communications it sends. If you need branching, build a Workflow instead.
If you need your automation to branch based on prospect behavior, use a Workflow.
Use Cases
Good use cases for a Drip Series include, but are not limited to:
- Ongoing nurturing
- Monthly newsletters
- Product updates
- Holiday updates
- Quick one-off email blasts
If you need any additional behavior — such as adding engaged contacts to a list, or splitting recipients so not everyone gets every message — build a Workflow instead.
Steps
A Drip Series consists of 5 steps, one of which is an intro you'll likely skip in the future.
- Intro: A short introduction to Drip Series with a checkbox that allows you to skip this step in the future
- Settings: Name your Drip Series, set its launch date, UTM tags, and other properties
- Audience: Define who qualifies for the Drip Series
- Actions: Add the emails and text messages the Drip Series will send over time
- Goals: Optionally, add goals that remove contacts from the Drip Series when conditions are met, and trigger additional actions as you choose
