GTM Setup
GTM is in beta. It may not be turned on for your account yet. To request access, contact Paminga Support.
Every GTM setting lives in one place, under the step it steers. The rail on the left lists the six steps in the order of the flow, numbered to match the Overview, followed by two pages that belong to no single step. Each page lists its step's rules in the order Paminga applies them, so reading a page top to bottom tells you exactly how a post or a person moves through it.
Rules marked Fixed are shown so you know they exist. They aren't settings.
Posts
Step 1: Searches
A Search is what GTM listens for on LinkedIn. Each enabled Search runs daily at 6:00 AM Central. A post that is not in English is set aside before it is rated.
Click Create Search and fill in three groups of settings.
Find posts
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | What you'll see in filters and on the Overview |
| Search text | Keywords, with AND / OR / NOT and quotes for phrases. Optional when an author profile URL is set. |
| Author profile URL | Follow one person's posts. Leave Search text empty to take everything they post. |
| Network | |
| Posted window | How far back each run looks: past 24 hours, past week, or past month |
| Pages per run | 1 to 20 pages of 50 posts each. A run stops early once it reaches posts it has already seen. |
| Enabled | Disabled Searches are skipped by the daily run |
Rate posts
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Topic | What counts as on-topic for this Search. A Search with no topic is rated against a generic one, and the Overview flags it. |
| Guidance for this Search | Extra instructions for rating this Search's posts. The guidance for all Searches is shown above it, and is edited in Rating. |
Pull engagers
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Pull engagers | Always, When the audience fits, or Off. Author Searches default to Always; keyword Searches to When the audience fits. |
| Minimum engagement | Likes plus comments a post needs before its engagers are pulled |
The Searches grid shows each Search's settings plus its last run, posts found, and last error. Use Run this Search now from a row's actions to run it without waiting for the morning.
Excluded authors, beside Searches, lists every author whose posts are being left out. Choose Stop Excluding this Author to let their future posts back in; posts already excluded stay excluded.
Step 2: Rating
The classifier rates every post from 1 to 10. This page controls what a rating does and how ratings are made.
Queue cutoff. Posts rated below the cutoff are hidden from Posts and Reply Guy. Posts at or above it are shown to people and enter Reply Guy. The scale beside the field shows exactly which ratings fall on each side. The cutoff is 6 by default. Changing it requires permission to manage AI features.
The cutoff doesn't affect pulling engagers: engagers are pulled at any rating unless you set a floor in Pulling engagers.
Guidance. Below the cutoff is the guidance the classifier reads, laid out in the order it reads it. Some parts are Fixed, including the four questions and their answer scales. The parts you can edit are labelled All Searches or This Search only; pick a Search to edit its topic and guidance in place.
Ratings your team flagged from Posts appear beside the guidance as Flagged ratings. Change the guidance, then Test it against those flagged ratings to see which would change, before anything goes live. Testing writes nothing.
Saving makes the new guidance live: new posts are rated with it from then on, and posts already rated don't change. History keeps every version that was ever live, and you can restore any of them.
Step 3: Commenting
How a post reaches a person in Reply Guy, and what that person has to work with:
- A post enters Reply Guy when it is rated at or above the queue cutoff, its status is New, and nobody holds a claim on it.
- A claim lasts 120 minutes (Fixed). Then the post returns to the queue.
- A person can flag a claimed post for discussion (Fixed). The post stays with that person and out of the queue, with no time limit. Each person decides for themselves whether to be notified about flags; the notification is off until they turn it on.
- Reply Templates. Click Manage templates to add, edit, or delete the text your team starts from.

Step 4: Pulling Engagers
After a post is rated, its likers and commenters are pulled when all four of these rules pass, in this order:
- The Search allows it. Each Search is set to Always, When the audience fits, or Off.
- The audience fits. The classifier answered that the post's engagers are likely your audience. Skipped for a Search set to Always.
- The post has enough engagement. Likes plus comments reach the Search's minimum. Default for new Searches sets the minimum new Searches start with (3 by default).
- The rating reaches the floor. Set a Rating floor to require one. Empty means no floor.
Then:
- How many likers to take. All commenters are taken. Likers per post caps the likers. Empty means no limit.
- The post is checked again for new people (Fixed) after 1, 3, 7, and 14 days, stopping when a check finds nobody new.
Retrieve engagers on a post pulls by hand and skips rules 1 to 4.
Step 5: Qualifying
Each person passes these checks in order. The first one that fails sets the person aside.
- Free checks (Fixed). Seen before on another post. Already a Contact. Headline names a competitor employer or a title you don't sell to. Paminga maintains the two word lists; click See the lists to read them.
- Engager Triage (AI). Reads the person's comment and headline, sets intent to none, weak, or strong, and skips people who can never buy. A liker never has intent.
- Sequence history. Sets aside people already in a Sequence, who said no, unsubscribed, bounced, or finished a Sequence recently. Re-sequence wait (days) is what "recently" means (180 by default).
- Company fit (AI). Scans the company's website for a marketing automation platform, then the Account ICP Classifier matches the company to one of your ICPs, or to none. A company's result is reused until Company re-check (days) passes (90 by default).
- Tier (Fixed). P1 fits an ICP and shows intent. P2 fits an ICP with no intent. P3 has no ICP and is set aside.
Both AI checks have a guidance link on this page. Each opens a guidance page that works like Rating: the guidance in the order the AI reads it, the results your team flagged from Prospects, a Test, and History.
Step 6: Enrolling
A P1 or P2 becomes a Contact. These rules decide when it enters a Sequence.
- Each ICP has a Sequence. Create a target for each ICP: the ICP, the Sequence its prospects enroll in, the Team they're assigned to round-robin, a Fallback rep for when no team is set, and whether the target is Active. A prospect whose ICP has no active target becomes a Contact and waits, and the page lists those ICPs so you can fix them.
- Enroll automatically. On: a P1 enrolls at once, and every day at 7:00 AM Central the queue feeds each Sequence up to its daily cap, P1 first. Off (the default): nobody enrolls until someone chooses Enroll now in Prospects.
- Apollo finds the email. Only at enrollment, and only when the Contact has no email. A recent Apollo answer is reused for Apollo freshness (days) (90 by default), and Apollo daily maximum caps lookups per day (50 by default).
Sequences email real people. Before you turn on automatic enrollment, make sure each target's Sequence is one you're happy to send to strangers who just engaged with a LinkedIn post.

Budgets and Alerts
HarvestAPI daily budget (USD). Search sweeps and engager pulls both spend it. At the limit, both wait for the next day, and the Overview tells you so. Empty means no budget.
Slack channel. One message for each person who shows intent, updated as the person moves through the pipeline. Defaults to #outbound. Requires the Slack integration.
Connections
The outside services the steps use, whether each is connected, and a link to Settings › Account › Integrations where you connect it:
| Service | Used by |
|---|---|
| HarvestAPI | Steps 1, 4 and 5: finds posts, pulls engagers, and looks up profiles and companies |
| Apollo | Step 6: finds a prospect's email at enrollment. See Apollo. |
| Slack | Steps 5 and 6: reports each person who shows intent. See Slack. |
| AI credits | Steps 2 and 5. Links to AI Settings. |
